Staple Food Assitance Distributed to 6 Urban Villages in Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands Regency distributed food assistance to residents affected by COVID-19 in 6 urban villages of North Thousand Islands and South Thousand Islands on this Wednesday (6/3).

We start to distribute the assistance from Untung Jawa Island, Tidung Island, and last in Pramuka Island

Thousand Islands Regent, Husein Murad and the representatives of Lotus Palace Housing, Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta handed over the assistance through Safe Islands Task Force thus later it could be distributed to the residents in need.

"We start to distribute the assistance from Untung Jawa Island, Tidung Island, and last in Pramuka Island. We deliver it directly to the local task force units," he said while handing over the packages in Untung Jawa Island.

Untung Jawa Urban Village Receives Assistance of 1,000 Staple Food Packages

In this chance, his side distributed 2,000 staple food packages in total. According to him, number of packages given to residents in each islands varies according to the population in each urban villages.

In detail, 168 packages for Untung Jawa Island, 350 packages for Tidung Island, 54 packages for Payung Island, 340 packages for Panggang Island, 185 packages for Pramuka Island.

Next, 92 packages for Pari Island, 125 packages for Lancang Island, 268 packages for Kelapa Island, 128 packages for Kelapa Dua Island, 152 packages for Harapan Island, and 138 packages for Sebira Island.

"There are rice, cooking oil, and instant noodles in each packages. Hopefully it can ease their burden in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic," he conveyed.
